What You Ought to Know About an Associate Degree – the Other College Degree 10/27/14

Due to the rise in yearly tuition, students are finding it hard to pay for all four years of college to earn a Bachelors Degree. Now, the result for some may be to only stay for two years earning an Associates Degree with less loans to borrow. An Associates Degree usually is around sixty credits and only requires two years of general education. It is incorrect to claim that an associates is better than a bachelors. Financially it can be difficult to continue your studies for two more years. There are job opportunities available accepting associates with above average salaries. Advantages are early employment, flexibility to pursue bachelor if necessary, and less time to complete a college degree. Some say you may be cutting yourself short for not continuing studies, but earning money quickly has it advantages as well. Do not forget there is always the opportunity to go back to school when you can afford classes and earn a higher education.

7 Travel Tips for a Happy Holiday and a Happy Budget By: Devon Sedrick 11/4/14

The experience of travel is by far one of my favorite aspects of life, but travelling can also be expensive, especially during this festive season. This articles explains how to save on the budget, brace yourself for the crowds, and how to enjoy your travel time. It is never to early to book a flight, so doing so ahead of time will cut down the price and increase chances for a seat. Try to avoid peak days because prices sky rocket and the crowds are unbelievably. Pack light so items can be carried onto the plane as carry-on items and less money to pay for checked-in luggage. Flying is not for everyone, but desperate times do come around. Make sure to remember to breathe when landing and taking off in an air craft. Many people have fear of heights or planes crashing, but remember to stay calm and brace yourself for the wonderful flight ahead. I know it can be stressful. I know money can weigh heavily on all of our minds. But it’s the holiday season. A time for you to forget schoolwork and remember what’s most important: your loved ones, your friends and family. The people who have been with you through this crazy journey we call life. It will be crazy. It will be hectic. Try to stay present, try to stay in the moment and remember you are blessed. It’s the holiday season, and despite the hype, we should treat it as such.
