Beginning January 1st- Eternity
1. I WILL use IGRAD articles once a week to become more informed on managing my finances.
2. I WILL set a $600 a month budget for food.
3. I WILL deposit $50 a paycheck into my savings account.
4. I WILL save my tips each day and add them to savings at the end of the week.
5. I WILL not drive more than to and from work to save on gas and money each month.
Managing my finances has been a struggle since becoming more independent and responsible. Utilizing IGRAD can help me to increase my knowledge on the subject of finances. By establishing how much money to spend on groceries I can be sure to plan out where my extra money will go. Taking fifty dollars a paycheck will ensure I am saving money and growing towards my goals. Tips are extra cash needed to be saved as well and can be used in desperate times. Driving only to work and walking to others places will cut back on my budget for gas and save me monthly.
Time Management: Action Plan
Beginning January 1st – Eternity
1. I WILL make a detailed list every night for the next days worth of activities or events.
2. I WILL leave sticky notes around to remember to do tasks.
3. I WILL mark important events in the calendar on my phone to be reminded ahead of time.
4. I WILL be sure to have multiple alarms set daily for waking up on time.
5. I WILL make sure to leave for class or work thirty minutes ahead of time incase traffic, train, or accident may take place.
Time management is a weakness of mine due to lack of organizing and prioritizing my tasks. Every night I should make a list for the next days tasks so I can be sure to complete them all and not forget any. Sticky notes are easy reminders when trying to remember small tasks. Also, when receiving an invitation or important event date immediately insert it into your phones calendar and notes section. Setting alarms ensures a greater probability for you to complete the tasks and at the correct time. My plan is specific when explaining ways to improve on my time management skills.
Patience: Action Plan
Beginning December 1st – Eternity
1. I WILL takes deep breathes and think positive thoughts when becoming impatient.
2. I WILL start singing when I become frustrated or overwhelmed.
3. I WILL get in the longest line at the grocery store to help work on my patience.
4. I WILL allow others to go ahead of me in line at least twice a week.
5. I WILL identify what triggers me to react and not allow those actions to control me.
Since a young age, my mother has always scolded me to be patient and learn how to wait my turn. I struggled to not become frustrated or angry when put in time consuming positions. Even though I am a lot older, I still feel the need to work on my patience in order to become a better person and leader. By simply taking deep breaths and removing yourself from a difficult position you are lessening the chances for violence. Many of us struggle with impatience. But if we want healthy work relationships and a successful career, then we need to spend time making patience a habit. Start by identifying your triggers and realizing why you are impatient. Also, testing yourself by choosing the longest lines at stores can help you to become more patient. Allowing others to go before you in line can help you to become more patient as well. Also, singing a cheerful song when feel overwhelmed can help lighten the mood and allow positive vibes. Finally, I will realize my triggers and not allow my thoughts to control me. This action plan is a great start for me to begin my journey to becoming a patient person!
Health Concern: Action Plan
November 6th - Eternity
1. I WILL continue to visit the oncologist every Wednesday seeking answers.
2. I WILL be in bed and asleep by nine o'clock every night to ensure I am getting enough rest.
3. I WILL be sure not to work more then 35 hours a week.
4. I WILL make sure to take all medications at 5am each morning and every 8 hours on.
5. I WILL be sure to clean the air filter, my fans, and dust collected areas every Sunday at noon to eliminate dust.
For about eight months now, I have been feeling really ill and fatigued. Yet, I was still continuing work and school full-time with not much rest during the week days. I lost my appetite, strength, and control over my health. I have seen five different doctors within three months, but still no answers. I lost hope for the past month, but recently I have become so ill I had to take a full week off work. My mom flew in from 3 hours away and is extremely concerned. My five points explain the necessary steps needed for answers to my issues and ability to regain control over my health. I will continue to visit the oncologist for answers every Wednesday. I will be sure to be asleep by nine and receive a full nights rest. I will not over work myself and only be doing thirty-five hours. I will take all medications at five am each day before work. I will ensure I am minimizing the dust in my house by changing the air filters and cleaning the fans every Sunday afternoon.
